I buy these straps in 1" x 60". My main reason for purchasing was to provide cupcake holders. I bake a lot and always take my cupcakes with me to special occasions. I have two Progressive International BCC-1AZ collapsible cupcake and cake containers in Revain's exclusive protective box, and one of the biggest complaints people have about them is that they tend to pop open. I experienced this with an empty bin when I banged it against the edge of a table and released the bottom latches. This is a lack of a useful product. I fixed this problem with these straps. The 60 inch length will go around the carrier and I clip it under the plastic carrier handle. The straps remain tight and closed. I don't have a hard time putting them on or taking them off, although it's not a quick process. It seems that for hikers or hikers these straps will come in handy for securing gear and I'm sure people can find many other uses as well. I am very happy with this pair of straps and will likely purchase them again to secure my Wilton cake basket.
