Perfect looking tool watch for SKX007

The Seiko SKX007 is a wonderful watch in its own right, but this strap has just the perfect look I was looking for. I've been mentally juggling between the Hexad Oyster and Super Engineer bracelets and am very happy with my decision to stop there. The Hexad Oyster is thicker than any other steel bracelet I've seen and it really does look like a tool watch. However, with the lug width tapering from 22mm to a 20mm clasp width, the overall look doesn't feel overly heavy and is quite elegant in my opinion. Molded (and solid) end links help the bracelet fit perfectly to the watch's lugs. The only issue I had with this product was the location of the spring rod holes in the solid end links. The alignment of the holes in the end links and the holes in the lugs was too tight, preventing the bracelet from attaching properly. I almost dropped my watch once when the strap came loose from the other lug. Luckily I had thinner spring bars as spares which worked better than the "thick" spring bars that came with the strap or similar original watch spring bars. I think that might not be an issue for everyone if there are differences between individual watches and bracelets.

Pros
  • Replacement strap for Seiko SKX007 watch
Cons
  • Nothing
