Review on ๐Ÿ’ช Occupational Health & Safety Products: SolidWork Professional Glasses with Integrated Protection by Ron Coleman

very good glasses best safety

UPDATE: after a few weeks the soft, rubbery material (blue) begins to disintegrate. possibly due to exposure to mild chemicals taken from my hands, but this is fairly rare. It just dissolves over time, leaving a slightly sticky, oily residue that's fairly easy to remove but still uncomfortable. on a more positive note; Even months after the rubber has melted, the lenses are still in much better condition than any other goggle I've had extensive experience with. I think this probably indicates the date I originally wrote this review. If possible, you can use this to get a rough estimate of how long they can hold you. If I didn't mention it before this edit, I work in a machine shop and am pretty casual with my glasses. everything else I use lasts two or three weeks at most. (edited 9/7/2020) I wear glasses on the back of my head when not in use and they don't have as much clamping force as I'm used to, but the lenses are much better quality. I hope they don't fall off too often as they seem a bit flimsy, but they're enough to protect my eyes from shrapnel in the machine shop I work at. There really isn't much page protection to speak of, despite being listed as a feature. They're just ordinary glasses that don't cover anything on the sides. Due to the somewhat flimsy design, I think it would be wise to include a strap or straps to avoid damage from falls. They're not expensive in my opinion, but they're more expensive than your most common goggles. I thought the build quality would be much more reliable due to the higher price. Clarity and scratch resistance are the most important qualities I want from glasses. So as long as I don't ruin them too quickly or too easily, the build quality isn't a huge issue for me. Why don't they make eyeglass lens polish? like material for headlights, but for normal plastic?

Pros
  • protective goggles and goggles
Cons
  • long delivery time
