so i was confused trying to buy new lenses for my old canon ae-1 or just buy this one so i can use all my digital lenses (EF- lenses) Canon and Di Tamron lenses) and my bounce flash. I chose the latter and was not disappointed. I got the Date Case so I can use my little remote control too. it looks and feels like my rebel xti. I also bought a battery grip which gives it functionality and a certain "cool factor". The fact is that there is no wheel / knob on the handle for adjusting the exposure, only the exposure knob. But I'm knocking down the battery grip rating (also bought from Amazon), not the T2 rating. I initially looked at the Rebel K2, but after testing one out at the local camera shop I decided to spend a few bucks more to get the T2. The K2 felt a bit "cheap" and lacked a few things that I consider important in a camera, like a depth-of-field preview button and a built-in aperture setting in the viewfinder. Movie after each frame. but on the other hand, this is found in each of the new cameras. It's just a nice bonus since I "upgraded" from ae-1. I use this camera in school as they still teach photography. I am happy with the camera. This combined with Canon's petite f/1.8 makes a great setup! Get it now! :)
