Review on Razer BlackWidow Lite Detachable Tenkeyless by Michael Gonzales

Really great keyboard in every way. The price is great (I bought it for $60), the design is clean and not overly personal, which is welcomed by Razer, the build quality is solid, and I'm pretty happy with the switches. The lettering looks very clean on the keyboard and the backlighting is just right, neither too bright nor too soft. While the keyboard material appears to be mostly plastic, it still has a nice texture and premium feel. These orange Razer switches (brown counterpart) are beautiful and make a noticeable difference in typing for me as a gamer and programmer. . They're definitely a direct upgrade from the Outemu reds I used to use on my home desktop (I liked the smooth action but made a lot of mistakes with the light actuation force of the red switches), and I'll give them some advantage in Referring to a personal preference for a softer brown switch action compared to the Cherry MX Blue switches I use on my office keyboard (I don't see much benefit currently, obviously). I'm not overly sensitive to switch quality, I just prefer a keyboard with clean action and quality workmanship, and having finally tried this style of switch I don't think I can go back. My only two *very minor* criticisms are: 1. The aesthetics on the keyboard side are a bit odd. The keycaps are very short, allowing the components underneath each key to be seen, including switches and switch bodies. It seems to be the aesthetic they're aiming for, just not my personal taste, and it's not visible from the top, which is where I mostly see the keyboard anyway. 2. The keyboard deck was slightly deformed at some point, so it wasn't flush with the table. I'm not sure if this will show up in the future, but I was able to unfold it with raw human power (i.e. a very slight bend back in the right direction) and it's been working fine for over a week since I've had the issue noticed. These aren't a deal breaker in the slightest just to let others know when purchasing. I still like the keyboard and I'm certainly not deducting a star.
