The metal is pretty thin so the bag juicer itself isn't strong enough to pull even a bag out of the cup without strings. You still need to use your other hand and grab the corner of the tea bag, place it in the juicer and press down with both hands to squeeze it. It's not what I expected and it doesn't quite hit the spot when it comes to squeezing a tea bag. It's naturally cute and I love the concept. This works well for teabags with thread as you can take the thread with your free hand and wrap it around it and help the squeezing process.
