These shoes are very good. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is that the small metal loop holding the velcro (where it folds) is squeezed and the metal pulls apart a bit and the strap can come out; This will make the band appear to be "broken" until you use the pliers to squeeze the metal back together. I don't really care but my 8 year old gets very upset when this happens at school. Besides that, he loves her. Say they are very comfortable.
