Let me start by saying that this is by far the most compact and easy to install mount I have ever installed. I have installed several mounts in my life and it only takes 20 minutes to do all I will order a few more of these when you get this mount just remember one thing this mount has some medium power small tv can up to 32 inches or so (lightweight flat screen tv, not dinosaur) Don't try to install it if your tv is 50 or 60 inches. Stud mounting is always preferable. If you can't find a bolt, drywall installation is fine, but how secure and strong it is depends on your drywall. Thickness, note drywall can be paper so please always try to attach safety wire just in case no one wants an accident, injury to a child or pet. TV and on the wall.
