Honest Dog Kitchen

I have three rescue dogs; 35, 65 and 74 pounds respectively. I feed them pure dry food. When I heard about Honest Kitchen I had to try it. I ordered Revel because my budget is limited. I've had my Revel for about two weeks now. My dogs love it. I think this has to be the best food I've ever seen. When I first made it, I mixed each batch separately. Mind you, I started with smaller feedings and followed the directions exactly. I have never seen so much food in my life! My dogs couldn't eat that much! It's good if you can cool it. I had to adjust the amount of Revel while maintaining the correct water ratio. It's a great product and expensive, but I'm paying about $30 for a 15 pound package of holistic nutrition. I can easily spend $300 a month. So in my opinion the price is not that bad. Now I feed them half holistic, half Revel. For new users or those thinking of trying this out, start slow. Mix and match one of the smaller portions to the amount your dog is eating and adjust accordingly. I also prefer to heat water on the stove. Warm water or hot tap water is not good for me. I added my boiled water to Revel and when I stirred it smelled heavenly! Like greasy chicken sauce or dumplings. No, I haven't eaten anything! The difference in water temperature was like day to night. I will continue to use this combination because my holistic product is made locally and I know who makes it and what it contains. And Revel is the same. My dogs are my children, so I want to take care of them. And what does the price of this dog food compare to hefty vet bills if your dogs get sick from eating unhealthy food?
