Sounds like a prop plane ready to taxi to the runway

I bought this fan as a backup. My old fan recently died and I had to go without it until the brown truck could get me another one. I started using it until my favorite fan came (two weeks passed). I found I like the sound. It's noisy. Sounds like a prop plane about to taxi down the runway and I love it! I sleep best with fan noise. Ideal for noise dampening. This is a box fan so it cannot be tilted up. It has two stabilizers on the bottom to prevent tipping. The blades and body are made of plastic. As far as air distribution goes, it's fair. This is by design a wide range of air movement, so you feel a little less of it. It's more like a nice gentle breeze unless you're standing right in front of it. On the other hand, it is low power consumption. I could easily run this off a battery bank or generator. 0.5 ampere is insanely small. You can run multiple fans with the same power consumption as a larger, more powerful fan. (Take it! Local Electric Company) Long story short, I like it so much I bought another one as a spare. If the power goes out I will have two fans which will not be a significant generator or power consumption. I still use my original fan of choice (18" Patton) which is more powerful and handier. But now I use it for everyday use and for sleeping. When you need a strong airflow that can simulate a tropical storm is this fan isn't for you, if you want to move a decent amount of air while enjoying loud fan noise, you can try this.
