Like the other reviewer, I bought this card to take 14-bit RAW photos with my Nikon D800. It is fully compatible with D800. The D800 recognizes it immediately and displays a recording capacity of 1K+ (exact recording capacity is 1258 shots). Since the D800 is set for continuous shooting, here's my quick and handy comparison of this Komputerbay CF to my other much more expensive ones (32GB vs 64GB). GB) Lexar CF: 1) B CH: Each can only take 13 exposures before the D800 buffer is exhausted. 2) In CL: It takes 16 shots before the D800 buffer is used up, compared to 17-18 shots with the expensive Lexar. Pretty impressive performance at just over 1/3 the cost of Lexar counterparts (lower capacity).
