Works perfectly in 5th generation iPod classic.

but I thought there might be some interest in this item to install it in the iPod classic as a replacement for the original hard drive, so I'll share mine experience here. The details of replacing a hard drive with a compact flash card are well documented on the web, so I won't go into detail. Suffice it to say that you will need an adapter, available from Tarkan's online store, and a compact flash card. I download music from my iTunes library to my iPods in Apple lossless format. On the…

Made my old iPod new again

I read how to convert iPod to flash memory. (google ipod classic to flash cf) Most websites recommend using a CF to SD adapter and then a microSD to SD adapter. This plugged right into the IDE to CF adapter and worked like a charm. Turning an old 4th gen 40GB iPod into a fully functional 128GB iPod that can handle my entire music library is amazing. I was given an iPod as a teenager and 12 years later it's great to have a device that still works great.

Should be on the Nikon D800 compatibility list

Like the other reviewer, I bought this card to take 14-bit RAW photos with my Nikon D800. It is fully compatible with D800. The D800 recognizes it immediately and displays a recording capacity of 1K+ (exact recording capacity is 1258 shots). Since the D800 is set for continuous shooting, here's my quick and handy comparison of this Komputerbay CF to my other much more expensive ones (32GB vs 64GB). GB) Lexar CF: 1) B CH: Each can only take 13 exposures before the D800 buffer is exhausted. 2) In

Great price - but not fast enough or reliable

Good. I am an active user of cf-cards. I have about 40 Transcend 32GB 400x cards and am generally happy with them. Decided to try this card. I have a Canon 5D MKIII so when shooting with two cards I was able to try a relatively new card. So far there are two CFs. I'm not a high speed shooter and the 5D MKIII is a fast camera so I haven't had any buffering issues but loading is definitely slower or at best on par with the Transcend 32GB 400x. From these cards I get 60Mbps - 100Mbps (100Mbps is a

compatible with Nikon D800; So far, so good.

I received the card early today, 4/2/13. I immediately opened the packaging and inserted a 128 GB Komputerbay Compact Flash card in business packaging into the slot of my Nikon D800. I formatted the card in the camera and set the CD as the priority card in the setup menu with SD as a backup. The card formatted without issue and the camera now reads 3.8Kb instead of the 472 it read with my 16GB SD card installed. I took a few photos and they were captured with no errors. You play at normal…

This one didn't work - maybe just a bad one in a large crowd?

I tried to install it in my iPod mini. At RetroSonicFidelity, I'm removing the CF card case so I can add audiophile capacitors to the iPod mini and also upgrade the CF. Unfortunately, after removing the case, I got a bunch of recurring errors with this card saying something about "unable to write to the last block of the device". I don't know if this issue can be resolved, but I know I've already removed the CF case so I can't return it for a refund. Maybe it was just a bad batch option, but it

Works the same as other popular brands

Purchased for fourth generation iPod Flashing (Photo iPod). Works very well, reading and writing speed is much faster than original Apple hard drive. Easy to reformat, I believe it works just as well in a DSLR. Good product for the price, will buy again next time I'm restoring an iPod. Comes with a case if you are going to use it for the camera.

Surprisingly good - CompactFlash cards

I was nervous about making this purchase despite hearing good reviews from another photographer and others. After upgrading to the D800, I needed a larger card to complement my 64GB SD card, which could only hold 800 images. I've only used it a few times as an overflow or at home test, but I made it my main source last weekend and it didn't let me down during my 3 day shoots.
