Tired of cheap F8T5 Chinese cool white light bulbs that burn out several times a year and ordered a set of LightWise LWF08T5 LED -Lamps -LED04W40M to replace them. So far they've been very good - a little brighter than the old bulbs, with less of a green tint. My old bulbs are 11 7/8" long including the pins and the new LED bulbs are 11 3/4" long. long, pins included, and still fit. Like most long LED fluorescent bulbs, they are directional - the light only shines from one side - so it's important that the pins of your fixture are vertical when the bulbs are inserted, otherwise the light won't shine straight down. Every time I reorder my fluorescent lights I look at the replacement LEDs and it's great to see that they are now available. Let's hope that in the future the price will come down and the lifespan will be as long as we expect from LED bulbs.
