I knew exactly what I was buying but hope is eternal so I was still disappointed. Too short, too coarse, too easy to get dirty. Four stars is better than this sling would have deserved if I hadn't known the flaws upfront, but I can't give a product five stars just because I can't find anything better, so here it is. What I will do: I will buy a 2 1/2" x 18" or longer leather strap, Gorilla glue and a few pieces of birch plywood - and make my own slings to my own standards. I might sell my surplus (if any) on a competing website (rhymes with "etsy" or maybe "me-bay").
