As a regular consumer of USB drives for personal use (I bought a dozen this year), I have to rate these drives as a major flop. Enticed by the price of these drives and the minimum usage requirements (add files little by little and give the drive to someone who will then copy/backup all the files once and then read them from time to time), I decided to take a chance. All previous drives were Sandisk and I've never had any problems (with some perennial). Out of 5 drives, 2 failed almost immediately and all data was lost. The ones that haven't failed keep generating "Error / Disk repair required" messages when connected. I (re)formatted one and it seems to be working, but I can't rely on these drives even for my minimal needs. You get what you pay for, and in hindsight buying them for savings over Sandisk drives seems short-sighted.
