Review on Computer speaker Harman/Kardon SoundSticks 4 white by Wiktor Barczuk ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not a bad product, quite normal quality.

I do not recommend buying. They are not worth their money. For this money, you can see an alternative from Edifier or even pay a little extra and take Dali. The sound becomes relatively good after a long dig in the equalizer. But really - it's long, painful and difficult. But in this price range it will be difficult to find something better in the Plug & Play format and from a normal manufacturer. For me, the whole problem is that I really do not like all these square speakers in a giant form factor. Plus, I really wanted to take acoustics from some particular HiFi brand, and not just from a computer manufacturer like Creative or Edifier. Unfortunately, at the moment for myself personally I do not see an alternative. But if the appearance and the manufacturer are not important for you, then it is better to take something else. I'll try to take it back to the store. If they accept, then I'll take Dali and put it through an amp.

Pros
  • Beautiful design. Good materials. Excellent build.
Cons
  • The first evening looks like a disappointment. They just sound really, really bad. It's just unrealistically jacked up b. The feeling that I'm in the boy's nine food. And at the same time, there is no b control on the subwoofer itself. This is g stupid. I just want to lower the overall b level, not climb the EQs. High range seems overkill at some frequencies and not enough at others. The mid frequencies are underdeveloped. All this makes the scene flat. It is not clear why there is no remote control in the kit at all. How to control the overall volume of the speakers if the sub is under the table? From your feet?
