I live in a three story house, my bedroom is on the top floor and my router is (of course) on the ground floor. I've tried extension cords that plug into the wall and they offer some limited benefits but still don't deliver power and the signal is better but still weak. When I plugged this into my computer, it felt like I was sitting downstairs next to the router. Now I have full signal and better speed. This uses my Xfinity router downstairs, sends the signal to my Netgear wall mounted power strip, and then goes to my Techkey adapter in my laptop. The difference in speed is noticeable.
