I love these things. I've had old filament cans (Halo and Capri) and all of these mods take 5 minutes to replace the old components in the can. The ones I used used springs to hold the lamp bezel in place, but the jars still had the "ears" needed to install them. They take the intestines from the jar - a bulb, a lining and pieces. Screw the lamp base adapter into the existing socket. Insert the new bracket into the pigtail of the lamp socket adapter. While holding the new mount, pinch the two wires together on one side and insert them into your ears, and then do the same on the other side. Gently lift the entire fixture and as it moves the wires will stretch outward and pull the fixture towards the ceiling. The premium look is a replacement for old cans with 80's style black covers and those all white faucets with built in diffusers. Instantly improve the look of your ceiling! These items are BRIGHT. There's a lot of light here, and since they're dimmable, you can adjust the brightness of these super-bright replacements. There can't be too much light in my book. I was looking to replace some of the 75w cans that don't need as much but decided to stick with 100w and dim them with a dimmer that doesn't change every time I turn it on. Series of BR30 bulbs from Feit and I'm very happy with them so I trust this brand.
