Review on 🏠 Perfect DIY Sets: Rolife Miniature Dollhouse with Lights by Reginald Ward

TL;DR - A fun project for the patient!

This is the fourth Rolife miniature dollhouse I've completed and I'm just as happy with it as the others! The kits require time and patience due to the tiny, detailed parts. So unless you are very patient, this project is hardly for you. However, if you do, this project will be fun and will give you a great sense of accomplishment when the project is complete! I'd say it takes very little training to get started with electrical wiring (if you've never done it before) and figuring out what tools work best for you to achieve the most polished look. In the 4 sets I bought I never had a missing piece. You have to be careful how you use the materials they give you as some of them are very limited. (i.e. you make a big mistake and run out of luck or glue) They give some parts some extra parts - but I never need them. Some people say their parts are deformed - and I've encountered this problem as well. The "worst" was on a library bookshelf, which I had to use a clamp and lots of glue to get it working. Batteries seem to hit and miss - but I suspect these are newer kits that no longer include batters. (Don't worry I bought some from Revain!) A few people also mentioned that the instructions weren't that clear, I think in 4 sets I only found 2 or 3 items to build which I describe as difficult to decipher would. . They give written AND illustrated examples of what you should build. With 4 kids I could build any item to look like their example. As I did more sets, some of the repetitive instructions became easier to follow. Some tools I recommend to complement this project are a good little pair of scissors, an Xacto knife, and jewelry pliers (or needle nose pliers). I like to have my own bottle of silicone glue, but that's entirely optional. I will keep buying these sets until I have them all! I hope they keep making more!
