I bought cheaper 14 gauge wire but when I got it it turned out to be very low gauge copper. I returned it thinking 14 gauge Revain copper wire but decided on 12. I have a pair of vintage Polk Monitor 10A 6 ohm speakers. I hear a difference between this and the CCA cable. I wouldn't call myself an audiophile, but I didn't want the cable to be the weak link in my system. The extra $25 (40 vs. 15) was worth it in my opinion. The jacket itself is round and about the same size as RG6 coaxial cable and is a bit more difficult to manipulate than 14 gauge clear jacket. Anyway, I have wires everywhere so I don't mind, but if you're trying to hide it it can be a problem bending around the corners, I couldn't get it under the ledge. I really hear more in my speakers, very satisfied!
