Review on The Wacom INTUOS4/CINTIQ21 Grip Pen: Enhance Your Digital Artistic Experience by Maurice Strawther

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Okay, but there is no pin removal tool and no instructions.

The photos are a comparison between a new stylus and accessories (left) and a factory stylus and accessories (right). It only arrived today so my rating is preliminary. I will update in a few weeks after heavy use. So far, the new and old are almost identical (except that the new one works and the old one doesn't because it got damaged during the move), with a few important exceptions. Most importantly, there is NO SPRING EXTRACTOR in this kit! SAVE YOUR OLD GEAR BECAUSE YOU NEED THE OLD SPRING PULLER! It comes with 4 pen tips (one already installed), 3 brush heads (which I already replaced with new ones before taking the picture) and a stand. There is no replaceable colored ring on the end of the stylus, no instructions/manual/warranty/documents of any kind. What I like about the new stand is the matte finish and a grippier textured underside (although the change in grip is almost imperceptible). I quickly ran it in Photoshop for 5 minutes and both buttons work and the "eraser" works too. I didn't have to do anything to make it work (no updates or pairing) so it was great. Overall I'm happy with it so far. It works with my old Intuos 4 (and I'm glad I didn't have to replace it just because the stylus broke).
