Doesn't work as it should

After reading the reviews I bought this product and another model. The video I've attached really says it all. I have several Logitech wireless mice that I use every day. I bought them at Walmart so there must be millions of them. They work very well and are very light. The item arrived on time and well packaged. Easy to set up. Has an on/off switch. It has a power cord, but unfortunately no power adapter/plug. At this price point, it should come with its own power supply. The concept is simple. Place the mouse in the tray and the spinning wheel will move the mouse pointer so the screen doesn't turn off. To be honest, the product moves the mouse pointer and prevents the computer from "waking up". But hardly. If you're just trying to prevent your PC from shutting down, then this is perfect for you. But if, like most of us, you're trying to circumvent the tight controls of your employer's IT department, then this device is likely to get you in trouble. Here it fails miserably. First, the interval between plate motions is not random. This happens exactly every 18-20 seconds. And when it moves, it moves exactly the same tiny distance. So any legitimate IT department will be quick to label this as a mouse mover. As you can see in the video, the cursor only moves 1-2 inches across the screen. And then the next move 1-2 inches back along the same path. Therefore, it never leaves the same 2x2 inch square on the screen. Again, any IT department will be quick to report this fake step. Also, the motor isn't powerful enough and the spinning disk isn't big enough to actually move the mouse around the tray. Because of this, the cursor movement goes back and forth along the same small path and doesn't feel random. And as I mentioned before, my wireless mouse is about as light as it gets. This device shouldn't just have random cycle times, it should have more frequent ones. Most employees don't take 20-second breaks between 2-second mouse movements. It's an eternity to wait. In contrast, another device I bought from Revain works well. You can see in the second half of the video I posted that it has a powerful motor and a large disc that actually moves the mouse. This causes the cursor to move over long distances and in different directions. I have worked in information technology for two large companies for 20 years. I expect this device to be labeled quickly as it will not fool anyone. I will be keeping my second device but returning this particular Mouse Mover product.
