The sparkly background is a piece of paper inside the case, removable. If you put the shiny side up, the camera cutouts don't fit right so make sure you loo at that before putting it in. It fits nice. The buttons on the sides are not hard to press, unlike the tech-21 case I got which turned yellow after a few days. We will see how it works out.
