The zipper is already broken

I just bought this in September and am already buying a new backpack for my son. The zipper is already broken .That's what I hate about backpacks, if I buy the top brands (Pottery Barn) I don't have this problem.However, my son's school requires a transparent backpack and my son liked the style of Pottery Don't barn.
