Worked great taped to a glass wall on a cruise ship during a week at sea (for time lapse with a Brinno TLC200Pro camera). The only criticism is the accessories. Because the ball is a custom size, no other ball attachment accessories and clamps (not mentioning the Capricorn male's brand) will work with it. initially. Knowing I would have to deal with the railing and not risk attaching it to the outside of the glass, I ended up getting a ¼"-20 socket head hole with a 1" ball and then used the 1" accessory, which I already had (including a 1" ball base with a ¼"-20 bolt) to rotate the angle and mount the camera. This isn't necessary - had to rip the suction cups off the glass when I did the installation The lack of a 5th star was due to the lack of accessories/forward compatibility with many 1" ball mount systems. But it was a lot cheaper and the adjustments didn't come close to making the other worthwhile.
