Do not use as a leave-in.

I'm really surprised by all the positive reviews here. I have the azelaic acid that this brand makes and I really like it, but it's a huge downside. It contains cocamidopropyldimethylamine which is used in facial cleansers (I did not recognize this ingredient before purchasing and the description has since been updated to explain that it is a cleanser). I've never seen that on vacation. When you apply it to your skin, you'll find it fizzes and lathers like a toner. It also stings like anything that comes out when you have active acne. Overall it's too harsh, and the cleaner makes it inappropriate not to rinse it off. (Look for the ingredient, you won't find it in any other leave-in product.) I will continue to order their azelaic acid, but this is a huge disappointment. I wouldn't recommend it if you don't want to leave soap on your face.
