Edit: (May 2019) It's broken now, but I don't attribute it to the product design. I have three small children, the antennas are long gone. However, I was able to use it for a full year as it was constantly being shoved into my backpack and dropped. this time the model is bigger, but I haven't regretted it for a second. My only complaint I've ever had was that the antenna doesn't fall in, but rather hides in the back. (July 2018) I have had this radio for a few months. This is not my first weather radio. This is not the most expensive weather radio for me. Although it may be my favorite. There's a storm going on right now and I've got some radios in my van so I can really hear through the rain. The sound of this radio is the clearest of the four. I currently have. All ports and settings work. I leave it on the dash in my car most of the time and have only had to charge it twice in the 60 hours I've used it during that time. We live near the Texas Gulf Coast and the weather is ridiculously unpredictable most of the time. The forecast may indicate no rain on the weekday at 10:00 am and thunderstorms and flash flood warnings at 10:30 am. I love the brand so much I'm buying this radio for my two brothers for Christmas. , and upgrade to a larger version yourself. I can't imagine never having a weather radio again after waking up two months ago while camping in Arkansas to warnings of 50+ mph straight winds and severe thunderstorms. (I was alone with two toddlers and a 5 year old and knowing this was going to happen I had already packed up the camping when it arrived. We slept in the car that night.) We were in the mountains and my red (don't think of the brand) Emergency The radio didn't even get a signal. Just interference. I love that this radio fits in my purse, backpack and glove box. Whether you travel a lot, camp, or live in an RV all the time, this is by far one of the most important things to own.
