The fan can now be controlled via a remote control or a wall control.

Purchased for Minka-Aire F844-DK, Light Wave 52" ceiling fan with LED lighting kit, distressed koa finish. Remote control but I wanted also a wall control I contacted the seller before buying the fan and he told me that this wall control is compatible with this fan.I also installed the wall control.Leave the wall control on and the remote works so you use any of them which I wanted a wall control in addition to The remote because the fan it replaced only worked with the remote - there are no compatible wall controls When the remote died I called the fan shop where I bought it and and found that there was no remote control for this fan so I had to swap out fans entirely.
