If you have a wide foot like me you can try this hiker - it has a low toe and a roomy cut - but I usually get an 8.5 wide from New Balance I went for 8 EE's in this shoe - they fit perfectly, the extra width allows for a shorter length - like many other reviewers, I have a full orthotic which I put in the shoe after removing the supplied liner - the only downside is that the laces that come with the shoes are round and made of a hard material that doesn't tie for anything - they're also too long - I've replaced them with elastic ones, not laces that I do got it at Revain and solved that problem - plus these laces allow me to put them on and take them off easily of the shoes - just a suggestion, you can order some of these to match the shoes, i have the gray color for st eta gray boot and black for dark gray boot
