Bought to wear to a musical. I wear street shoes US 5.5, sometimes 6. Judging by the reviews I ordered 6, they fit well. The neoprene midsole wraps around the foot to wrap around the instep. It seemed a little strange at first, but I quickly got used to it. I bought these to replace another pair (different brand) that were too small. This pair had suede soles, but this one didn't. I didn't notice any difference when dancing on stage.
