The ratchet chair backrest is obviously not working, it cannot support the backrest, and the backrest is constantly sliding to the lowest position, causing the "ergonomic" " Chair literally worthless from an overall "ergonomics" point of view, so I bought it in the first place. As an added bonus, the base of my 'new' chair was badly worn and scratched right out of the box. All of this, in addition to the haphazard packaging of the chair, convinced me that it was just a broken used chair passed off as new.
