The lens is not bad. the picture is more or less at 2.8. In the open, you can only work from a short distance. The motor seems to be fast, but sometimes not accurate. misses happen especially on poorlycomntrasting objects. The bokeh is ofcomurse not bad. it washes the background into the trash. but somehow it’s not very good. (IMHO) I tested the sigma. the body is much better than the canon. but apparently I got a badcompy. soaped. and didn’t even hit exactly not 2.8, and plus the motor seemed slow to me. I bought a canon as a result. the portraits are not bad. and it pleases me to shoot something close-up. It seems to me that he still lacks sharpness over the entire field of the frame, even with a pressed aperture. I used it on a crop.
