Review on Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM lens, black by Mateusz Gsiewski ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The product is really good, I'm glad I purchased it.

The lens is not bad. the picture is more or less at 2.8. In the open, you can only work from a short distance. The motor seems to be fast, but sometimes not accurate. misses happen especially on poorlycomntrasting objects. The bokeh is ofcomurse not bad. it washes the background into the trash. but somehow it’s not very good. (IMHO) I tested the sigma. the body is much better than the canon. but apparently I got a badcompy. soaped. and didn’t even hit exactly not 2.8, and plus the motor seemed slow to me. I bought a canon as a result. the portraits are not bad. and it pleases me to shoot something close-up. It seems to me that he still lacks sharpness over the entire field of the frame, even with a pressed aperture. I used it on a crop. In general, it justifies its price. for portraits and close-ups, that's it. no longer good for anything. here are the first test shots in cloudy weather here are the last 8 pieces here

Pros
  • -not badly assembled, but sigma is much inferior - light weight - cheap filters - aperture of course -picture for 4 - manual focus at any time available -sharpness starts at f2.8
Cons
  • - on the open is terrible -HA climb everywhere -in the open it is difficult to get where you need to, from afar it is generally impossible -they say it breaks . but I have never failed.
