This device is perfect for 24 hour caregivers

This device is perfect for 24 hour caregivers. The bell we were using was not always audible when we were in a deep sleep 20 feet down the hall. The receiver will play many types of chimes/tunes and has adjustable volume. The round transmitter is very user friendly for our patient. We also bought a second receiver, one for our bedroom and one for the main living area. I am VERY glad I bought this.

Can be used as a medical alert system for people with disabilities

Cons

The necklace might not be suitable for seniors with arthritis or other mobility issues

I would give it five stars as a monitoring device, if there were no power failures at night. The unit sounds an alarm when the power comes back on, but not when it goes off. So, you get woken up for no reason when power returns, but you are not alerted to the fact that the system is dysfunctional when the power is out.
