This is the second of these mattresses that we have received. We really like the first one, we got it 4 years ago and it's still solid and very comfortable. My husband and I have to regularly lay our babies in their cribs to get them to sleep. My grandparents bought us another (not very expensive) mattress for our other child and it was terrible. Crunchy, filled with air, if our kids stood on one side, the other side would stick straight up in the air. everyone hated it. So we ordered another one of these mattresses. This one has the same waterproof coating but it's not nearly as strong and thick as the first one and even after 4 years it remains perfect. I would say the difference between the two mattresses is about 2 inches.
