I originally planned to make a lamp like this but the material cost was about the same as this one so I saved a lot of time! It is rented out for the holidays and guests are constantly commenting on how good it is. The only problem is that it dangles quite a bit and can only be lifted up to a certain limit. If you look closely at the photos you can see the chains are as tight as they can be and they are still a little lower than I wanted for the sight lines between the kitchen and dining area. It's a bit of a scam, but otherwise I like it. It is best to use tinted lower wattage bulbs and set the fixture to a dimmer to minimize the visibility of the bright filaments. All bulbs in this lamp are LED. The butt shape, thread shape, and suspension height vary to provide slightly more depth than the MFR uniform.
