Surprisingly few cases for S7 that I liked. Many cases have an S Pen slot on the side of the tablet, increasing the overall size and preventing the pen from charging. I also wanted something that would protect the edges from some bumps but not be as bulky as the Otterbox style cases. I think Spigen is a good compromise between the two extremes. Pros: - The case fits very well. It was a bit of a hassle to snap the hard plastic back panel into place when inserting the tablet into the case. - It is unlikely that the grip will be lost. There are rubber clips that hold the S-handle in place, making it less likely to get bumped and lost. The stand can be used. It only seems to hold it in two angles, which is fine since you can use one for viewing media and the other for productivity. Precise cutouts. The volume buttons work and the fingerprint scanner is not covered. -The possibility of using a protective film for the screen. The case stays very close to the edge, so you can easily use the screen protector. I know there are hand strap pockets but I feel the tablet is too heavy to be practical and I think it adds extra bulk for something that isn't used all the time. - The case over the fingerprint scanner is really thin. There's not much you can do about it since the scanner can't be locked, but if the case breaks, it is at that moment. - The tip of the pen is very close to the plastic cutter. When the stylus is inserted from the back, it is very close to the piece of plastic that separates the stylus area from the camera opening. I would think that over time by simply changing the grip you will push the stylus into that plastic and shorten its lifespan. It would have been better if the part had been removed so that the camera and stylus slot was just a recess. Or if Samsung made it so you can charge your pen in any orientation. You can always turn the pen over, but it will be used up within a few days. I've had this case for a while now and I'm happy with it. With all the options I would buy this case again as it met all my needs. The only downsides I have are the lack of storage options, a notch for a stylus, and the fact that there's no screen protection when not in use (e.g. a flip cover). Neither of them is a deal breaker and the case works well.
