Review on Merrell Boys' Bare Steps Sneaker: Flexible and Comfortable Footwear for Active Young Explorers by Robert Lowry

Revainrating 5 out of 5

happier, healthier, more agile legs

My 5 year old loves them. There is nothing in them that they cannot climb. Sometimes the seam between the top of the boot and the bottom of the tongue bothers their foot because the tongue can slide down in a 5 year old newbie shoe. Also, the curved edge that fits the ankle is too high and rubs on my child's ankle. I have the same problem with shoes. A lower profile side vent like the See Kai Run would have been nice. Otherwise, as a parent, I love how flexible and soft the shoe is. No compromises on traction for plush support and healthier leg mobility. Like the slightly wider toe box and regular to narrow heel for our family's foot. And can you tell how dirty these shoes are? no
