This is a good product but the buyer should be aware that it is also a bit misleading. The product says you can add fish straight away, which is just not true. Although the ammonia-eating bacteria were spotted almost overnight, it took a good 4-5 days for the nitrite-eating bacteria to show up. Nitrites are very harmful to your fish, even worse than ammonia. Even trace amounts can cause the immune system to malfunction and leave your fish vulnerable to disease. This will certainly reduce the cycle time significantly, but you should check the nitrites daily after adding the product and only add the fish when the nitrites have dropped to 0 ppm within 24 hours.
