I'm surprised no one else mentioned this, but my wipes were far from lint free. Both window wipers and cleaning wipes left a lot of lint on the interior of my car. I rubbed everything a few more times, tried to brush off the villi, and still didn't understand everything. Very noticeable on glass and smooth surfaces in a dark interior. As others have said, a fresh wipe will leave too much liquid behind. I don't recall them leaving any streaks after drying, possibly because I rubbed them many times to minimize the lint and liquids that remained. I think the liquid made it difficult to collect the villi. The solution to both of these problems is to bring your own lint-free wipes to dry off excess material and collect lint after using these wipes. I will use a good cloth with Optimum No Rinse for regular cleaning and will save those cloths for later for emergencies along with a good lint free cloth.
