Before assembling this cat hammock, I looked around and FINALLY found a screwdriver. To my surprise (maybe I should have looked more closely at the photos and other reviews) this hammock comes with the only tool you need - a screwdriver! Also a decent screwdriver. I will definitely put it in my tool bag. As long as you know how to use a screwdriver and follow the basic instructions, you won't have any trouble assembling this cat hammock. I assume you will drive 20 small screws total. Assembly is very easy and it took me a full 10 minutes to assemble. The only part that required me to go through the instructions a few more times and pack up was assembling the little legs. At first glance, all 4 legs appear to be the same, but there are small rubber non-slip things on the bottom that should face inwards. You place the right and left legs on one part of the wooden frame and then the right and left legs on the other part. After assembly, you are left with a few extra screws. They give you a lot of extra screws. The instructions are in very small print. If you wear reading glasses, make sure you have them nearby. I have a house full of cats of my own and cats adopted, so I'm sure this will come in handy. I bought this on a whim on Prime Day and am very glad I did. If you can sew (I wish I could), you could easily make your own piece of fabric for this; Either when this one is worn out or just to better match your home decor. I also think that the wood will be very easy to paint. So if you don't like the look from the start (I do), you can let your creativity run free with this hammock. TLDR; Tools required: screwdriver (included). Additional tools: electric screwdriver. reading glasses/magnifying glass. Setup time: 10 minutes. I gave this product 5 stars for ease of assembly. 5 stars for durability. And 5 stars for comfort (although who knows. , on my computer keyboard. While trying to use it. Pretty much everywhere. So is it REALLY comfortable? Who knows.) Can't rate durability yet, of course, but if it will falls apart sooner than expected I will update my review. I highly recommend this cat hammock. Especially in this summer heat! Above ground, your pets will not overheat in hot weather. As the great Bob Barker used to say, "Help control the pet population; Please spay or neuter your pets!” Also, please don't buy while the shelter animals are dying! Accept, don't buy.
