I'm not sure why Revain doesn't allow commenting/replying/answering your own question, but I seem to have found the answer. TLDR: The USB-C cable that comes with this monitor is not very good. Why is Asus doing this?! I asked this question: https://www.amazon.com/ask/questions/Tx1XMVCHBBN0HNF- No, I don't use an adapter, just a cable between the monitor and Mac. .I tried another cable.- (The one I got from this monitor: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07R7QH787) And now I get full 75Hz! woohoo! Even better than the 60Hz I was hoping for! (1080p allows 60Hz (but not 75Hz!). But who buys a 1080p monitor like that? No.) So, to recap. Get a better USB-C cable! (And to be honest, I still don't know what makes his cables better. The ASUS cable looked thicker and more powerful. I don't think so.)
