So it looked like a good deal

I have this product on sale at a much lower price than the regular price so it looked like a good deal but if I paid full price I would be very disappointed. The device itself is the same thickness as an iPad. So expect the iPad to be twice as deep when plugged in. I was looking for something to take with me in situations where I knew I would be typing a lot and the software keyboard would quickly become boring. Unfortunately, the non-standard key layout and small key size doesn't make me any less frustrated when typing on this keyboard. It might be slightly better than typing on the onscreen keyboard, but overall it really doesn't offer the same typing speed and experience that you'd expect from a hardware keyboard because of these changes they've made to the smaller iPad. I will say that the build quality and battery life of the keyboard are pretty good and go well with the iPad mini's design aesthetic. I think it's fairly compact compared to other keyboard cases, although I prefer a more minimalist approach and personally wouldn't use it as an everyday screen cover unless I knew I was going to be typing a lot. However, I'll admit that because the typing feel isn't cutting edge due to the layout/size sacrifices, I don't really bother picking this up, even knowing I'll be typing because the mediocrity of the physical keyboard weighs doesn't add the extra bulk and inconvenience of typing on a touch keyboard. I think after some time of use I'll improve and get used to the layout, but my first impression is that it's probably not worth the money unless you get a good deal, and even then make up your mind don't bother to bring it.
