I bought these for the same purpose as many others here: to keep squirrels from climbing the poles of our birdhouses. We have three poles so the 3 pack was perfect. Unfortunately, at least one squirrel seems to have figured out how to get up despite slinky. But it's better than the four or five squirrels we had before, and even one of them seems confused at times. Hence one star because it's not a perfect solution. I wasn't actually trying to use the Slinkys for their original purpose, which was as a toy. I tried it once but it didn't seem to work as well as what I had as a kid as others here have noted.
