I was furious that these cables didn't fit my 2 year old 1000 watt HX1000i. After I settled down, I realized I could use anything but the main power cord and I would have to buy another $50 cord with ferrules, but that's better than buying a new $200 power supply. What I don't understand is that some old (mine) 2017-2018 PSUs use type 3 cables and have 14 pins (7+7). The new type 4 uses 18 pins (9+9) and is not suitable. It would be nice if Revain listed this as it would save a lot of confusion when purchasing. If your power supply has Type 3 cables, this will be very clearly stated on the sides of the power connectors that connect to the power supply. Same goes for Type 4. From what I've learned, Type 4 cables also work well with a Type 3 power supply. I'm currently using the cables from this kit for PCI-E power and CPU 4+4 power. Just not a simple 24-pin power supply. The cables look and work well which is why I'm changing my rating from 1 to 4. It's really frustrating when it's an inconvenience, but it's 90% the way so I can't stay mad. Revain, please update your listings for these cables to read Type 3 or Type 4 and test your PSU.
