reviews were correct. About 10 steps in a cheap plastic flange and the ball didn't move more than 6 feet. My hack for this was a piece of 1/4 PVC tubing. Trim the inside length of the ball. Doesn't melt, or is simply replaced with a new piece later. The only thing that pulls back is my son keeps hitting it hard enough to (easily) push the insert out. Put it back in and continue. Customize, improvise, and overcome this product's shortcomings.
