Review on 📻 Yaesu FT-65 FT-65R Original Dual-Band Rugged & Compact Handheld Transceiver, 144/440 MHz, 5W Output Power - 3-Year Warranty by Patrick Arnautov

This radio made me think at first it was Baofeng in a new case. After about a week of using it I'm really impressed and see big improvements over say UV82 or similar. For example, the display is really easy to read with a large (and accurate) signal meter similar to Yaesu monoband radios like the FT-270r. The speaker sound could have been a little cleaner at high volumes, but the overall tone and clarity of the sound at mid to low levels is amazing. Scanning is a little slow, but not terrible. Output power and sound of the TX is ok and delivers what it should. RX reception is sensitive and has decent squelch, although the squelch is too tight even at the lowest settings. Oh and I can't forget the amazing whip antenna that comes with the radio. This thing works equally well on both bands and I really can't find an aftermarket antenna that performs better! And thanks to Yaesu for gifting me a proper Motorola style belt clip! Really great radio for the price and I wear it every day now and love it.
