Child Lock Really Nerdy

Absolutely Fantastic Price. Thing is funny, no, it's not super high security. Yes, she makes you feel like a CIA spy. It won't stop anyone with tools, not even an adult with some forearm strength. It will get the job done and it will be a really nerdy way to keep a cupboard, drawer, box, etc. out of the reach of children. If someone tries to pry or pull on it to get the screws out, yes it will open, but you will know. It's not difficult to program either, just stick a paperclip (a bit straight) through the hole on the back after inserting the batteries or powering it via USB. Wait for the beep, swipe the first card/label to become a control card, then swipe as many other cards as you like. Then just wait 10 seconds for it to block again and you're done. Mine runs through nearly 3/4 inch pine/fir. It has a security feature that puts itself into a permanently unlocked state when the battery voltage reaches 4.2 volts. Which I tested thanks to the fact that the batteries at work were junk of an unnamed brand and one of them died instantly. Don't forget to bring some Energizer lithium batteries and a portable power bank for your phone to give this thing USB backup power when needed. as well as batteries in it just in case. One of the downsides I found was that it doesn't work with all RFID cards. I have half a dozen due to my work and other projects and it wouldn't recognize any of them, not even the other "unnamed" cards. So if you need more than 4 access cards/fobs, you might find another ad or prepare for some experimental purchases.
