I've wanted to redo my spice cupboard for a long time. Judging by my before and after photos, time was ticking by and I was in total chaos. No longer! **BUT** I'll give you a word of caution. (See my video) This is not a reflection of a bad product, but you just need to know this little fact before you delve into your spice cabinet revamp. Of course, it is always advisable to wash items from factories thoroughly. The glasses themselves are dishwasher safe. Since the lids are metal, I chose to hand wash them and that's where I made my discovery. The inner foam lid liners fill with water and allow time to dry. In fact, I literally wrung or "squeezed" them and still let them dry well for a couple of days. Otherwise your spices can spoil due to moisture. Again, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND these spice jars, just wait a week or so after receiving them, wash and air dry the lids before adding the spices. I really love her!
