Compact, handy, easy to use

TAUSOM propane torch with push button igniter and 1.1m hose is great for heating metal quickly. It came with five soldering/welding rods, two rubber washers, a cylindrical clamp, a hose with an attached handle, and a torch head with an attached igniter. They only require minimal assembly. It has an on/off control on the tank port as well as on the handle. You turn the dial on the end of the tank all the way up, then use the dial on the handle to adjust the size of the flame. After igniting the flashlight with the handy ignition button on the handle, the flashlight stays lit. To turn it off, simply turn the knob on the handle to the off position. When you're done using it for current tasks, don't forget to turn off the regulator knob on the tank as well. During use you will be warned that a low setting will cause overheating. A warning about this is located directly on the side of the handle. For all other warnings you must refer to the product listing. The only literature that accompanies the flashlight is a small piece of paper with photos describing only the assembly. The only thing we don't like is the amount of plastic on the burner assembly. The handle, flow control knob located on the handle, ignition knob and igniter assembly located on the torch head are made of plastic. So much heat is generated when using this flashlight that a large amount of heat is reflected back onto the torch handle during use. We are concerned that this heat could damage plastic parts. It hasn't happened yet, but we definitely foresee it somewhere in the future. For fear of heat damage to the plastic during use, we hope this tool will last for many years to come. It works great and all parts needed to assemble and run are included (except the fuel source). It's a handy little tool.
