Now I understand why some had issues with mirrors not flush

The mirrors were well packaged. Mirror glass looks very good. There is no ripple that others have mentioned. I bought mirrors with tinted lenses but the standard clear bulbs were included. I ended up replacing them with amber LEDs so they don't have to be changed, and now they glow amber instead of transparent. Be careful as the lens removal method is easy to break. Another reason to switch to LED bulbs. The installation took longer than I expected due to some issues with the light installation and wiring. I am installing these mirrors on a 2002 F350 with factory power mirrors. The connector was flat so I didn't need the adapters that came with the replacement mirrors. What I found was that the threaded bolts didn't go through the holes in the door, which prevented the mirrors from sitting flush. In the end I removed all the bolts from the mirrors and reduced the diameter of the flange on the grinder. After I did this, the mirrors were attached to the doors. It took several hours to hook up the light as you have to remove various parts of the dash to get to the factory wiring. The kit didn't come with a schematic, but a quick internet search turned up mirror and truck schematics. I ended up grounding the black wire to the door and then running the wires through the door shoes. I connected the running lights to the wire on the back of the headlight switch and the turn signal wires to the turn signal harness on the steering column.
